About Me

I go by Liz (she/her). My journey to being a therapist has been eclectic and informed by my own lived experiences. Before becoming a therapist, I studied the impact that space and place have on a person’s individualized life experience. Therapy spaces are traditionally hierarchical; I believe that deconstructing the power dynamics within therapy is important to co-create spaces where healing can occur. Healing occurs when one can understand and witness your story.

I draw on my academic experience in Geography & Women and Gender Studies to examine how the spaces and places we inhabit (or are able to habit) based on our gender, class, and race contribute to our mental health.

My mental health work experience has occurred in various clinical settings, such as college counseling, residential treatment, community mental health, and both group and solo private practice.

I identify as an AuDHD therapist and have lived experience with chronic illness/disability, am a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community and am affirming towards various relationship structures.

When not seeing clients, you’ll find me reading, spending time with my dog, cat & partner, and exploring local hiking trails. My heart lives in Scotland, and I hope to one day live there.

I look forward to working with you!- Liz
