Integrative TraumaTherapy

There is no one size fits all for mental health treatment.

We work together to identify an eclectic course of treatment tailored to your individual needs

The Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)

  • CRM is rooted in neurobiology that facilitates healing by utilizing scaffolded internal resources centered in the context of our inherent connection to ourselves and the natural world.

  • CRM is a unique modality that bridges the brain/body connection and our own intuition and higher consciousness. The model allows clients to access healing within themselves, connect to a higher consciousness, and explore generational trauma through ancestral lineages.

  • The resources utilized in CRM include a combination of breath work skills, somatic grid work, attachment and attunement to the natural world around us, parts work, and strengthening the core self. Clients are able to re-member what happened to them (or didn’t happen for them) while feeling fully supported by internal resources to witness pain that could not be felt at the split second a trauma occurred.

  • In the presence of a positive attachment relationship, CRM allows clients to witness and turn towards the pain that couldn’t be felt in the past, accelerating healing through memory reconsolidation. Memories can then become a source of resilience rather than suffering.

  • My training is informed by CRM, EMDR, and other eclectic theories including those below

  • Attachment based therapy explores your attachment style and is beneficial for those who experienced trauma, abuse or neglect as children.

Attachment based therapies focus on exploring your connection to your caregivers and most important relationships.

Benefits of this approach include feeling more solidified in who you are, feeling more emotionally regulated, and healthier relationships.

  • I draw on my academic research in feminist geographies as well as women’s and gender studies to honor an individuals experience based on their social identities.

We explore how the social, cultural, and political environment impact stressors that you face.

My goal is to deconstruct the hierarchy between therapist and client- you are the expert of your own experience.

  • Often times clients come to therapy focused on what’s “wrong” versus what’s “right”. While exploring the problems you are hoping to resolve, we tap into your inner strengths to build solutions that work for you.

This is what makes your therapy experience individualized. I believe that you already have the tools inside of you to gain clarity in your life.

  • Somatic therapy explores the connection between your mind and body. Western medicine is very compartmentalized; you go to the doctor when you have a cold, you go to the dentist when you need your teeth cleaned; you go to a therapist when “it’s all in your head”.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions about therapy. Your head is a part of your body! Of course your mental state impacts your physical body and vice versa.

Talk therapy can be limiting for symptoms related to trauma. We use somatic based therapies to bridge the gap between your mind, body, and spirit.
